District Conference of Pula

Nearly 500 Rotarians gathered from 10 to 12 May in Pula, the city that hosted the conference in which our Club participated with six members.

A special honor was to welcome John Germ, former President of Rotary International and current trustee of the Rotary Foundation. The Rotarians and Rotatactors were greeted by the inspired speech of Past RI President John Germ who arrived in Pula with his wife Judy.

1913 District Governor Darko Tipuric said in his speech that we are a District that boasts great results. Namely, in this year there was an increase of almost 13 percent in terms of membership, with payments to the TRF Annual Fund reaching a record of $ 88 per member in May. We should point out that our Club recorded a 30 percent membership growth and was the first to transfer the figure of $ 300 per member, which no Croatian Club has managed to succeed in history. Also, our friend Tipuric highlighted the number of over 200 new Paul Harris Fellows, and our Club participated with 17 new friends who earned this valuable Rotarian recognition.

Nenad Bakić presented the central district project “STEM Revolution – Classroom Teaching” to the attendees, and distinguished individuals including our President, Dr. Josim Krnic, and our Club, were recognized for their special contribution to the work of the entire District in 1913
