Humanitarian action for the County Blind Association Split

Our club together with the County Association of the Blind marked the White Cane Safety Day on the Split waterfront on October 12, 2019. where the mayor of City Split, Andro Krstulović Opara, and the mayor of County, Blaženko Boban, also joined. The President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, also showed interest in the action, which is a special honor for us.
This announced the recent fundraising campaign for the purchase of a Braille printer with functions for scanning and printing text in Braille, which makes life much easier for parents who retype lessons on a Braille machine every day for little blind schoolchildren.

The device is worth HRK 38,000.00 and is the first on the list of priorities of the Association. The help is primarily intended for blind children, four of them aged 3 to 6 from primary school, one preschool girl and four of them in secondary school.
The humanitarian action, in addition to helping with the equipment, aims to raise public awareness of the problems faced daily by blind and partially sighted people, their families who bear the greatest burden of caring for their wards and to point out that helping the same problems can be solved or alleviated.
